Week 45: Thriving In The City

Friends and Family,

This email might sound fake, because I'm just gonna rant about how much I'm out here THRIVING!

First of all, I'm a city girl.  I just confirmed that this week. The city is where I'm meant to be.

Second, I'm in LOVE with my new companion. We are literally best friends already. I'm already crying for the day we have to separate ya'll.

White washing into a area as the first set of sister, is truly an adventure.  But it's been so much fun!  I'm literally having the time of my life out here, straight up. So much has happened this past week that I can't even tell you, but just know that I'm living my best life.

We literally don't know where we are going or what we are doing 90% of the time, but its SO FUN. It's honestly a blessing though because we just walk around everywhere in the city and downtown and talk to EVERYONE.  And we are new here!  ha ha ha!

Sister Whisenant is such a stud too..  She's so loud and fearless.  She literally yells at people across the street and sprints over to them.  It's hilarious and I seriously love it so much. She's gonna be Sister AP one day, I call it right now. We're just out here giving out Book of Mormons and Pass Along Cards left and right, and all that to everyone and their aunties.  We love it!

I love talking to people!  People are seriously hilarious. We have the best/funniest conversations everyday with people and its nothing but a good time.

Moral of the story: I love Sister Whisenant more than life, the city has my heart, and white-washing into an area is a fun time.

Also, God is so good.

 And I AM SO HAPPY!

Love you much!  We'll talk more next week.

Love,
Sister Wilson

Week 44: Just A Small Town Girl...(Back to the City)

Dear Friends and Family,

What's good, y'all?!

I know that I've acted dead these past couple weeks with no emails,  but here I am again.  I'm ALIVE!

Well, a lot has happened since I went mission in action. First, it's been a blizzard here these past couple weeks.  We've received 3 feet of snow if you can believe it.  Then it kinda ('ish) melted... but we received another foot last night, so I guess were back to normal. ha

Transfer calls came last night and I'm leaving Cardston!

{Shock!}

I was very convinced that I was staying.  I literally forgot it was transfer calls until a little before we got the call.  Ha.  But yeah, I'm going back to Calgary!  I'll be in a Young Single Adult (YSA) Ward (Rip). #howtoloseweightfast #nomoredinners

But... I'm pumped! My new companion is super cool.  I'm really excited to be with her.

I'll just be spending the day packing and saying goodbye to my recent converts and some members. I'm sad to leave, but also very ready for a change. I've LOVED it here and have so many good memories with so many good people. I have a feeling this will be my favorite area.

I wish I had time to tell you a lot more, but I'm really short on time so I've gotta get going.  I'm sending my love to you.  I'm still doing good and loving this mission!

Love,
Sister Wilson

Week 39: Weddings and Blessings

Hi Everyone.  Happy Wednesday!

So i don't really remember what happened this week but Rod and Jody got married.  It was so fun being able to help them and just be apart of it.  Everyone at the wedding wore their moccasins and it was he best.  I loved it!

Yesterday we went to Calgary for MLC and you know I saw my Second Momma, Kelly  They got me a early birthday gift and it was the nicest thing EVER. Another member in Cardston found out it was my birthday this week too and she got me an early gift which was BOMBSHELL from Victoria Secret (my all time fav perfume) and some other things.  Oh my goodness, there's just so many good people here!  I'm so, so, so lucky!  I definitely feel extra loved this week!

Here's to being 20 years old, but more important, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to "the sister from another mister" Sister Maake!  Yes, we have the same birthday  if you can believe it.  BFF fate!  Love you  Home Girl.  Party for the both of us. I can't wait to celebrate our special day together!

Okay, this week is going to be sooo good.  I can't wait to tell you guys all about it next Wednesday.

I love ya'll! (Mucho)

Stay tuned,
Sister Wilson

p.s. I tried my first Dirty Diet Coke yesterday at a members in Sister Lowry's old area, and I think my life has changed. So good!  It's a 10/10 recommend.

Week 25: Some Experiences and Feelings

Hi everyone ! I know last week I mentioned that I would be hitting my 6 months this week but I feel like I need to say more about the last 6 months I have been able to serve the Lord up in the great white North! I just wanted you guys to know that i am so grateful for my misison. I have learned so much. Some lessons have been humbling, painful and others i didnt want to learn. There have been tears. There has been some of the longest days of my life. There has been doors slammed and days where i feel like i couldnt take another step. But, there has been days of sunshine. Many wonderful days of which I have enjoyed. Days when someone has let us come into their home and offered to share the warmth of their fire and a hot drink in -30 degree winter days. Days you're exhausted, but excited to keep working. Days when the light of Jesus Christ brings happiness into someones usually heartbreaking life. Words aren't adequate to describe these days, to describe how it feels to see the atonement of the Savior at play in the lives of those you have come to love dearly. I will admit, this is the hardest thing I have ever done, and I've had to work harder than I've ever had to work, and give every last ounce I've had to give even on days when I feel like doing nothing. And I love it ! Not because it's always fun, or I've seen a lot of baptisms on my mission, or because people are always nice. I love it because my relationship with the Lord has strengthened a lot in these past 6 months. Ive learned more deeply what it means to love and respect someome who you spend everyday with and do everyrhing together (companion) I've come to understand better gods plan for us, I've learned that the atonement is central to everything we do. I get to see the atonement at work everyday in my life, in my companions lives, and in the lives of the people that I teach. We all need the Savior. We need his love and mercy and forgiveness. We need to know that we are not alone, and that anything that we go through no matter what it is, Jesus Christ walked the path before us, and overcame it all. He paved the way, he made it possible for us to return back to our Father in heaven who patiently waits for his children to come to him. There truly is no substitute for the peace and true happiness that comes from experiencing this in our lives and the lives of others. There is no substitute for living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is no place I'd rather be right now. I love Canada, I love the people here, but above all I love the Lord, and I know I am loved by him. I want others to know that and feel the joy that comes when we really do know that. It makes all the difference!

That Is just a little summary of my experiences so far and I hope you all have enjoyed following along with me !

This week was another great one, the sun has been out the past couple days and it's been beautiful. We have a lesson with the Fox's at 10 today. So here in a little. Last meeting they said yes to baptism in June so they are just praying for a date now! Hopefully we get a specific one today. We shall see. Also we put Ola on date for June 29th this week and it was SWEET the lesson was so good. We are excited!

Today is zone pday so we will be playing kickball and enjoying the weather ️ gotta get that tan on hey 👸🏾

ALSO! today the Lord is blessing me with a sweet baby nephew. I am an aunt today! Congrats to my older sister Elena and Kyle on your beautiful boy. I cannot wait to meet him. What a perfect day to call home. We are blessed !

Well that's enough about me 😉 I hope you all are doing well and enjoying life. I think of you often and pray for each of you ! Keep up your great work, have the best week

Week 24: 6 Month Mark!

This whole week has been grey and stormy and even snowed a little again. I wish the Sun would stay. Hahah I think it comes to visit Canada for 5 seconds a year. Anyways this week was pretty good we did a lot of service and thats always great

Thursday we went on the Reservation and picked up Drug needles for a couple hours! Dont worry mother I had gloves ;)

Friday we did service at Epic (a youth center) and painted and helped with some renovations it was a good time. We also went to a family named the Morphis's. They are my FAv, the whole family is So talented. They all sing and have voices of angles and they are Frenchies so they sing in french and it just makes it prettier😉 They travel and do little shows. They are making a CD and im gonna buy one and send it home its so good. Anyways they were renovating their basement and we went and helped and they put on a little show for us afterwards and it was beautiful and they tried to teach us to play the violin and they were all laughing cause we were so terrible at it hah!
Saturday and Sunday we focused on Finding and we have some potentials so hopefully we pick them up this week

Monday and Tuesday were finding days just did a lot of stop bys and all that ! we have a lesson Today with Mable and Richard and were teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and their sons want to talk to them about baptism today so we will see how it goes and i will keep you guys updated !
not too crazy of a week, were working on making our teaching pool bigger so finding finding finding. Last Wednesday was so nice so we went to a park in Lethbridge and played soccer and went to sushi since its our fav! also I cant remember if had mentioned earlier but my companion loves photography and so were always snapping pics here and there when we can. We took some at the park last Wednesday and they accidentally turned out to look like engagement pics. haha i thought i forgot to press the button to take the pic so we were laughing and turns out i actually did press it so it snapped some pics of us gazing into each others eyes laughing. So enjoy.

ALSO CONGRATS to my girl Jordan for her mission call !! Tempe Arizona is getting the best of the best.💃 Missions are the greatest !!!!!!!! so excited!

p.s I hit my 6 months this week! time is flying and loving it all. Hope you guys arent missing me TOO much 😉

Week 23: Spring (Officially) Sprang

hey wassup hellloooo! Dont have long today so sorry, short email this week. :)

Spring is here and it feels so good. We are blessed !!

Friday we had a lessson with Richard and Mable and they mentioned they want to learn more still before they commit to baptism but they are reading the BOM and all that so its going good !
Saturday we spoke at one of the elders baptisms that was fun ! We had a lesson with a lady that we are teaching her name is Tess and she is super solid but the only problem is she wants to be baptized sometime before she dies and she wants to do it in a lake. Hahah we talked about some concerns she has. So we are working on that

Sunday:  A great sunday! loved talking to you momma. Hope you all enjoyed Mothers day with your fams!

Monday was a busy day and full of good stuff. Lessons, service all dat

Tuesday: Zone conference in Lethbridge. Super long day hahh but it was the best. We had interviews with President after and he told Sis Ma'ake she will be finishing off here in cardston which means i will probably kill her (be her last companion before she goes home)

If I am it will be a party !! we have too much fun together. Its good though, we work hard but play hard too. Gotta balance it out hey 😉

I love all the things I am learning from my mission. Things that will help me for the rest of my life. I just love my mission in general. So much. Hahah before I came, I said  Im a little rough around the edges but im all yours Heavenly Father. Hes working with me, smoothing out my edges, making me better! Im grateful for all the hard and the good that I experience out here. Thanks for all your support, you keep me going ! sure do LOVE YA.

Week 22: Another Spiritual Week

I swear I just wrote you all like yesterday, time is flyinggggg! It snowed again woot woot.
hmm a couple thing that happened this week !

Thursday: We picked up an older couple out on the Reservation named The Fox's. It was such a solid lesson, probably the best one that me and sis Ma'ake have taught together so far, the spirit was gonna make the room explode. We came in with the intention to invite them to start reading the book of Mormon but the spirit was like no tell them to pray about baptism! So I was like Mable and Richard, will you pray about Baptism ??! and they were like yes we have been thinking about that actually and they shared a couple cool experiences with us. They are part of the Anglican church though so it might be a little hard for them to leave after so many years but they are solid ! We have another lesson tomorrow with them so we will follow up about our invitation and ill let you guys know how it goes next week.:)

friday: Took a little girl out for a temple tour who wasnt a member , she loved it it was sweeeettt
Sat:We helped with Alberta's Highway clean up and it was cool it kinda took forever and messed a little of our schedule up hahah but it was fun !

Sunday:It was Stake conference so we went to that, but normal sunday it was good
Monday: We had a Zone council meeting and all the missionaries in the South came to Cardston. Me and Sister Ma'ake came a little early and made all the missionaries pancakes and French Toast so we had a little breakfast party before! Then I had to give a Training on working with members and discussing what works in our areas, and honetsly I hate giving them hahah I get nervous but its whatever Im getting better about it. #NoGrowthInTheComfortZone #NoComfortInTheGrowthZone 😜

Tuesday: we put Sheldon on DATEEEEE (lesss goooooo!!) but we had to pass him off to the elders.sad, cause he was like an inch out of our area lol. But yeah we had a pass off lesson and this was actually the first time he took us to his home but its not really even a house its a latch on trailer that he got for 100 bucks and before that he lived in a tent for a little which idk how he made it out alive cause you cant survive the winter here in a tent... but anywhays he took us out to the reservation and he lives down  by a ditch and we had to walk a ways to get down there but we were terrified cause he was like oh yeah watch your step ladies dont touch the logs or tires that are all on the ground, they are booby traps .so me and my comp look at each other and are like sweet man thanks for the warning hahah so we were hopping all around trying not to die. But we had such a great lessson and he opened up so much about his life and how hes just doesnt wanna drink and smoke and not have a temptation to cause thats all so heavy on the reserve its so sad. But we were like sheldon we have something we PROMISE that will help ! and he was like really can have it ? and were like uhh duhhh so we whipped out the Book of Mormon and just told him all about the book and told him it was also about his Native American ancestors and he got super excited and was like yooo I can read this !! Ill start right away and then we brought up baptism and set a goal for June 8th! heck yeah, Sheldon is such a baller !! were sad we had to pass him off but we will for sure go to some lessons still AND his baptism 😉 also were gonna start getting the relief society in the ward to like try and donate blankets and some other things for him cause his living conditions are terrible, my man sheldon cant be out here livin like that!

I sure am tired yall but who cares when youre having as much fun as I am teaching people about Jesus. I know that God has given us a plan for us to be successful and HAPPY. I know The Book of Mormon is the word of God and it can help us overcome temptation and we can come to know the Savior by reading it. I know it changes hearts.  I know that God loves his children, WE are his greatest possession and Joy comes when we serve his children, our bro's and sisters. We're all fam. Serve someone this week !

So I think its supposed to get a little warmer this week? fingers crossed? Will I ever be brown again? who knows...stay tuned !

LOVE YA. Stay sunny🌻

Week 21: May Day (It’s a Blizzard!)

When I first got to Canada I realized Canadians love to talk about the weather. Hahah they always say "how bout this weather eh?" and id just try to smile through the chattering teeth, half smile, acting like it wasnt the coldest ive ever been. 😁 But now I get it ! haha they take pride in the cold weather I think. We had a big blizzard hit us this week. Church was cancelled in the West stake, so all the other missionaries didnt have church but we did cause the our stake was like nahhh its all good ! so we got lucky and got to go to church 😉 Hahah we woke up to a winter wonderland. At first I was irritated not gonna lie. I mean almost a week straight of snow in freaking May ?? Then I was like well I could be bitter about the cold, but ill probably just be bitter for a long time cause I know there is gonna be more snow, orrrrrrrr I could be thankful and enjoy it. Hahha my attitude changed, and I was enjoyin that BLIZZARD 😉 How bout that weather eh??

This week was great! Treansfers were on Thursday and so we went to lethbridge and picked up sister Hasse, Sis Johns new comp. Helped them settle in and everything !

Friday: some fun weekly planning. Sister Hansen has been sick so we havent read with her for a couple weeks. But got her some medicine and ran some errands for her so that was great !

Saturday: We went to a baptism for this little boy in our ward, his name is Morgan and he asked all the missionaries to sing at his baptism. Well the other missionaries flaked and it was just us and Im not gonna sugar coat it it was bad. We tried, me and sister Ma'ake arent singers and the little girl on the piano kept messing up and we had to restart like 3 times. It was a gong show, we couldnt help but laugh afterwards and the bishop was even laughing. Haha you could ask us to do anything else, just not sing! 😁

Sunday: Woke up to a winter wonderland like I said but church was still great! afterwards we stopped by a lady named Gale. Shes out on the reserve and shes a member just really less active. She just got diagnosed with cancer and so shes going through a tough time right now but she was so positive ! I shared alma 7 with her and we talked about it for awhile and she loved it. We also made some Banana bread for her in the morning and brought it over and she was super grateful. It was awesome

Monday: we visited Jennifer and I got to meet her grandchildren. They were the sweetest and they showed us their Pow Wow dances. (Native American cultural dancing) We were dancing around the living room and having a blast. The natives are a very spiritual people. We gave them pics of Jesus and taught them a little about him. They were all smiles !

Moments like that, make me realize all that I have given up to be out here teaching these people actually is not a sacrifice at all, but a wonderful blessing that the Lord has given me that has changed me.

Tuesday: MLC in Calgary. So long, but so good ! We were all hyped cause this month we beat the record of highest baptisms in the last 5 years ! we got 37! super cool. But one of the biggest things that stood out to me was loving our companion. I truly have loved all my companions so far but President really emphasized on serving them. Hahah I think I forget that sometimes, so im making that a goal this transfer! Its the small and simple things that just show them that you love them. Also, being an example to them and inviting them to "Become as he is"
I love my companion. We have such a blast together. Who knows, maybe ill make her breakfast in bed this week ?😉

Anywho, Im still doing good and loving the work! Im pretending that its spring here and wearing my cute spring dresses , sandals, and sungleses. A sister can dream hey ?
Haha I love you, you know that ! thanks for all your support. Until next week.❤

Week 20: The End of the Trio

heyaaaa everyone ! not gonna be a long email this week sorry!

Transfer calls were last night, annndddd im staying here with Sister Ma'ake !! haha, im so happy. Were so tight ! were like peanut butter and Jelly. We like salt and pepper, we like mustard and ketchup, we like 2 peas in a pod. You get it 😉 Shes such a good missionary. I was a little nervous to be honest that she was gonna leave cause theres so much more to learn from her. And after this transfer she will have been in this area for 1 year. 1 whole year hahaha thats like almost her whole mission ! so yeah so much more to learn. so excited :) Sister John is getting a new companion but they are staying in Cardston so there will be 2 sets of sisters here now which is fun.

There was a lady who referred herself to be taught buy the missonaries last week so we met with her this week and she is so solid. Her name is Ola. She has a little baby so its kinda hard to meet with. She loved our first lesson and kept saying "i feel so warm and fuzzy right now" the spirit was hittin her! but Sister John and her new comp will be the ones to continue to teach her cause we will be splitting the wards. Me and sis Ma'ake are a little sad cause everyone that we are teaching and so close to baptism are in the wards we are giving up but thats ok the other sisters will seal the deal ! But me and ma'ake are covering pretty much most of the Reserve and a YSA in Cardston. So we have a big area but were excited its gonne be good.

The girls Kelly and Lynnise came thursday and took me and my comps for lunch and we had the BEST time like always.

hope you all have the best week. You are my shining stars !

Week 19: Happy, Happy Easter!

Hi!! Hope you all had the best week! Hey the queens bday is this Sunday if you didn't know, wish her a happy bday on Twitter or something 😉 oh also, more importantly it's Easter too already !! Dang. Time flies. I was reading over some conference talks a couple days ago in my personal study and I was reading some talks on Easter cause it is my favorite holiday and I'm so excited!! But I read a talk by Elder Paul Johnson and I wanna share a quote from it cause this is truly what Easter is about. He said "The reality of the Resurrection of the Savior overwhelms our heartbreak with hope because with it comes the assurance that all the other promises of the gospel are just as real—promises that are no less miraculous than the Resurrection. We know that He has the power to cleanse us from all our sins. We know that He has taken upon Himself all our infirmities, pains, and the injustices we have suffered. We know that He has “rise[n] from the dead, with healing in his wings.” We know that He can make us whole no matter what is broken in us. We know that He “shall wipe away all tears from our eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain.” We know that we can be “made perfect through Jesus … , who wrought out this perfect atonement,” if we will just have faith and follow Him."

I know that Jesus Christ lived and died for us. I know that he rose from the dead 3 days after he died on the cross of Calvary. Because of him and his infiante atonement after we die, we too will live again as resurrected beings. This means so much to me because I know that one day my brother won't face the disabilities he has in this life. One day he will be perfect. That is a gift from Jesus Christ that I could never repay ! But he did it for free because he loves us. That is my testimony !

My week :)

Thursday: we all caught a 24 hour bug this week and I was the first one to get it so I woke up half dead. But by 4:00 my companions were about to go crazy from being inside, haha I felt bad so we went out the rest of the day !

Friday: sis John got the bug but I was feeling better

Saturday: sister Ma'ake got the bug but sis John was feeling better. #compunity #triopower

Sunday: a girl in the ward gave her mission farewell and it was exciting she's awesome! Yeah it was a good day we were all feeling back to normal and went to our different wards with our investigators :)

Monday: exchanges with the raymond sisters. Sis Wilson came here in our area(yes there was two sister Wilson's in our companionship.😉) it was super good ! We got to go to FHE that night  with our YSA ward and we went out to someone's farm and had a bonfire and we zip lined and went on a cute horse wagon ride thing :))

Tuesday: exchanged back and did a lot of stop bys cause all our appointments that day fell through haha. That's always the worst! But it was okay, it was still good !

We have 2 potentials from this week that we are trying to meet with but things kept coming up and they had to reschedule so by next week for sure hopefully we can start teaching them. Gonna be sweeeeettt! I'll tell you guys about it next week. Yeah nothing too crazy happened this week but nevertheless good things happened.🤗

Happy early Easter !! Ponder on Jesus Christ and all that his atonement and resurrection does and means for us. Here is an Easter video that we have been sharing for supper messages. Even if you've seen it, watch it again it's the best.

P.s. tomorrow my girls Kelly and lynisse are coming to Cardston and they are taking me and my comps to lunch! I'm so excited Haha! I'll take a picture and send it in next week's email :)

I love you !
Hugs 😊

Week 18: You Just Squeezed The Air Right Out...

heyaaa everyone :) so did you guys enjoy general conference ? it was SO good :)) we went to members homes for each session and it was so fun, except I almost threw up from how much food they fed us. No joke hahah, it almost all came up at our second dinner on Sunday.

last wednesday was vanessas baptism ! which was so awesome. Definitely a day to remember. :)
Thursday: same old weekly planning and all that good stuff !

Friday:usual reading with sister hansen and also I met Steven. Hes a bro! haha we had a lesson with a less active and he brought his bearded dragon (Steven) to chill with us, it was funny hahah
Saturday:General conference of course ! and the elders had a baptism so we went to that right after
Sunday: G.C again. Im so sorry I was planning on bringing all my notes to tell you guys my favorite quotes but i forgot them on my desk when we left to come email :(

But yeah, Conference was so good and I cant even pick a fovorite talk. But P. Nelly is such a baller, Im gonna say his was ONE of my favorites. I really loved when he said in "god’s eternal plan salvation is an individual matter but exaltation is a family matter." BOOM so good.

monday: just another good day of work ! supper was interesting though hahah, before we went Sister Ma'ake told me that they have anger issues. And while we were giving a spiritual message after eating one of the kids got really angry cause he couldnt fix his X Box controller and he was throwing his controls all round and was screaming all these curse words. It was awkward cause we were trying to just talk over him while were giving our message hahah. Crazy dude !

Tuesday: We had a lesson with Jennifer that went so good again. I love her shes such a strong lady! we had a lesson on prayer and she said shes been praying and been receiving answers and its the best feeling when you're just able to help people come closer to God and see them exercising they're faith. Nothing beats that feeling, I Promise. 😊 We also went to carols and we painted ! she taught us how to draw different stuff and then we painted it with watercolors and coffee. Shes the best !! we shared a spiritual thought after too and she loved it !

And then we went to the Harty family for a new member lesson for the dad. They have 4 boys and after the lesson they were dying to play ninja and basketball with us and then they showed us the farm hahah. Super cute kids and an awesome family it was a blast :)

Oh and you know me, I have to add something funny to end it off. 😉So on Friday a member that is Hawaiian made a Hawaiian drink and brought it to us (mainly for Sister Ma'ake)  when we got home that night. Anyways we went outside to their car to grab it and the wife is outside talking to us and she gives us the drink and we were giving her a hug goodbye and Sister John gives her a hug last and i think i already mentioned this a couple of emails ago but Sister John is super strong and when she gives hugs she lifts the person off of the ground and squeezes them really tight. Some people think she is trying to kill them😂 anyways, she gave her a hug and lifted her off the ground and squeezed her so hard that the wife ripped one so loud !!!! i felt so bad, haha In my head I was like omg, im gonna play it off like I didnt even hear nothin. Even though she was right next to me. But then she started laughing and was like WOWWWW you just squeezed the air right out of me !! haah we were dying when we got back in the house. Just so funny you had to be there! good times

It snowed again this week but not anything crazy so im not complaining ! Just still hoping for more sun but its been so much warmer than those crazy -30 days 😉
Grateful !!
Je t'aime ! (love you)!
until next week.

Week 17: April Fool's Day and Protectin' Deez Streets

Wass'up, Wass'up?!

This week has been so good! We have a baptism tonight so I'm really pumped about that!

Thursday: It was a normal day.  We did good ol' planning and all that.

Friday: I don' really remember.  Sorry, but I know it was a good day!  I'm sure of that!

Saturday: It was a really nice day, so we tried to spend time outside as much as we could. We were walking and did some "stop-bys". As we passed some boys playing basketball, they were calling us out...  so you know we came over and had to cross up on em'. Ha!

Sunday: I met my hero.  Ha ha.  This dude came up to us and was going off for like 20 mins about how he "protects deez streets" and how he's the only reason why we haven't gotten snatched up yet. He had a huge flashlight that he pulled out of his pocket and was waving it all around in our eyes. So, yeah.  Don't worry family because I'm not going to get kidnapped or anything.  "Deez streets stay protected"!

Monday: April Fool's! Listen up for a good laugh y'all. Sunday night we were thinking of a good April Fool's Day prank to pull on a set of elders and you know that I cam up with something really quick! So, there is an elder that does President's accent spot on.  It's crazy how much he sounds just like our president.  So... we called him up Monday morning and we gave him a script to read and we told him to call the Zone Leaders at 12:00 pm sharp, because that's when we get done with district council.  We of course needed to be there to witness the prank go down. So we tell him to call at noon and pretend to be President telling Elder Walker and Elder Greer that they are being emergency transferred and that they should pack all their stuff by tomorrow morning. We then told this elder (pretending to be President) to call back in 5 minutes after the initial call to tell them the news and that it's just a joke so they don't actually pack all their stuff. Ha ha ha.  So Elder Rice (guy pretending to be president) is like, "okay okay".  So we have District Council at 10:30 and it's all good.  It's ends at noon and we were so HYPED and antsy. Right on queue, Elder Rice calls and pretends to be President and they fell for it HARD. Just watch video all the way through and see for yourselves.  As a side note. Elder Rice added a part about the elder's missions being cut short, effective immediately and that Elder Rice (the one who ran out of the room) was going home at the end of this transfer. So messed up!   I swear we didn't plan that part, Elder Rice just added that spice. Needless to say, we are still getting the silent treatment from Elder Greer.  He really thought he was going home.  😂

Got 'em!

(No really, legendary prank,. right?!  You know your girl has still got it!)

Tuesday: It was such a good day. We were running around all day, but my favorite part was when we stopped by Carol's house. She is not a member but she loves the missionaries and she's slowly getting softer about religion. Anyway, we chatted for awhile and she wants us over for supper on Tuesday! She's an artist and she's going to let us do some painting with her when we come.  At the end, we asked if we could leave her with a prayer and she asked us if we could all say it together. It was different.... but actually, it was awesome! Sister John started, then Sister Ma'ake did the middle and then I finished the prayer. When we finished, we looked up and she had tears.  It was the best.

So yeah, this week was so awesome, and I have my first baptism tonight! LETS GOOOOOO !!! We are so pumped.  I will send a pic in next week's email.

Also, are you get excited for General Conference or what?! I know that I am.  It's such a blessing that we have a prophet here today on the earth. And he's going to speak the will of the Lord to us! So listen up! Take notes and pay attention to the invitations that are given.

Have an awesome week and enjoy conference. Love and hugs to all.

Love,
Sister Wilson
